June 4 – Today at the Qualcomm Automotive Summit 2026, ThunderSoft unveiled the new AquaClaw, China’s first in-vehicle AI agentic experience running on Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s Agentic AI Operating Environment purpose-built for Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ solutions.

Designed for the next generation of AI-native cockpits, AquaClaw is built on an architecture that integrates on-device AI, cloud collaboration, and secure control — enabling seamless interaction between AI agents and in-vehicle applications across a full range of driving and user scenarios. The platform is designed to help automakers reduce cockpit software development complexity while accelerating innovation in intelligent in-vehicle experiences.
The latest version of AquaClaw has been optimized for Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon® Elite automotive platform (8x97), leveraging its Agentic AI Operating Environment, on-device AI, graphics rendering, multimodal concurrency, and secure computing capabilities to deliver three major experience upgrades:
From Voice Assistant to AI Task Orchestrator
Powered by Snapdragon Elite’s NPU-based on-device AI capabilities, AquaClaw supports 30B parameter MoE models and combines ultra-long contextual memory, environmental perception fusion, and advanced reasoning capabilities to complete end-to-end task execution across applications, scenarios, and driving cycles with low latency.
Rather than simply responding to individual voice commands, the in-vehicle AI agent can understand user goals, decompose complex tasks, coordinate system resources, and continuously track outcomes throughout the driving experience.
From Static Interfaces to Dynamic HMI
Unlike conventional cockpit interaction models built around fixed apps and static cards, AquaClaw leverages Snapdragon Elite’s real-time GPU rendering and multimodal processing capabilities to dynamically generate interface content based on user intent.
The system is designed to intelligently integrate navigation, vehicle status, service information, and user preferences in real time, transforming the cockpit into an adaptive and task-oriented intelligent interaction space.
From One-Time Interaction to Persistent Memory
AquaClaw is designed to evolve in-vehicle AI from a transactional assistant into a personalized digital companion with long-term memory and contextual awareness.
Through ThunderSoft and Qualcomm Technologies’ edge-cloud collaborative architecture and privacy-first security framework, user preferences, driving habits, travel patterns, and interaction history can be securely retained on the vehicle side, gradually forming unique memory and personality assets for each user.
In the future, every vehicle will become more than a standardized smart device — evolving instead into an intelligent digital companion capable of understanding, accompanying, and continuously adapting to its user.
Larry Geng, Co-Founder and Executive President of ThunderSoft, said:
“AI agents are reshaping both human-machine interaction and software development models for intelligent cockpits. AquaClaw is not intended to be just another voice assistant — it is designed as an agentic experience for the AI-defined vehicle era. By leveraging QualcommTechnologies Agentic AI Operating Environment as a platform, AquaClaw further unlocks the value of on-device AI, dynamic HMI, and persistent in-vehicle memory, helping OEMs improve software development efficiency, integrate cockpit ecosystems, and reduce the operational costs associated with large-scale foundation model deployment.”
Laxmi Rayapudi, VP & GM, Software, Auto and IE-IoT, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.:
" Qualcomm’s agentic AI operating environment enables Snapdragon Elite platforms to power the next generation of intelligent cockpits — delivering the agentic framework, computing performance, on-device AI, and graphics capabilities that make truly immersive in-vehicle experiences possible. We are pleased to see ThunderSoft bringing that potential to life with AquaClaw, built and optimized on the Qualcomm Agentic AI Operating Environment to advance innovation in AI-native cockpit operating systems. Together, we will continue pushing the boundaries of agentic frameworks for China, automotive software, on-device AI, and ecosystem integration — creating cockpit experiences that feel more natural, more intelligent, and more personal."
Looking ahead, ThunderSoft will continue working with Qualcomm Technologies to accelerate the deployment of AquaClaw with Qualcomm Technologies’ Agentic AI Operating Environment across more vehicle programs, scenarios, and mass-production projects in China — enabling automakers to build differentiated intelligent experiences in a more open, efficient, and production-ready manner.
