Beijing, April 27, 2026 — At Auto China 2026, ThunderSoft (SZ: 300496) announced an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, unveiling a series of joint innovations that advance the commercialization of AI Agents in intelligent vehicles. Leveraging Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platform (8397) and Snapdragon Ride Platform (8797), the two companies showcased the production-ready AquaDrive AIOS 2.1 solution, launched the new AIBOX-Q1 AI computing platform, and demonstrated, for the first time, efficient on-device inference of a 30B Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) large model on an automotive-grade platform.

Deep Integration: AquaDrive AIOS 2.1 on Qualcomm Flagship Platforms

As an AI-native operating system designed for next-generation intelligent vehicles, AquaDrive AIOS 2.1 introduces a “Super Fusion AI Agent” architecture powered by ThunderSoft’s proprietary AquaClaw framework. The system enables a fundamental shift from reactive in-cabin interactions to proactive, scenario-aware intelligence.

AquaDrive AIOS 2.1 debuts an industry-first “Real-World Space” five-in-one integration framework, seamlessly unifying parking, navigation, intelligent driving, blind-spot assistance, and automated parking into a cohesive experience. Combined with native GenAI 3D cockpit rendering and dynamic 2D/3D interactive interfaces, the system significantly enhances both visual immersion and human-machine interaction.

The platform is equipped with five core capabilities, including on-device inference, persistent memory, and proactive perception, enabling a continuous AI companion experience throughout the user journey. This transforms the cockpit into an intelligent agent capable of autonomous reasoning and decision support.

AquaDrive AIOS 2.1

AquaDrive AIOS 2.1 has been fully adapted to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8397 and 8797 platforms, built on a standardized Layer + Agent (L+A) architecture. It delivers end-to-end capabilities spanning AI inference, BSP, middleware, and agent orchestration. Based on this platform, ThunderSoft provides OEMs with a full-stack AIOS service offering—from resource allocation and system development to agent creation and model training—helping significantly reduce development cycles and deployment costs while accelerating mass production.

New Product Launch: AIBOX-Q1 Enables Scalable In-Vehicle AI Computing

ThunderSoft also introduced AIBOX-Q1, a new member of its AIBOX family, designed to accelerate large-model deployment in vehicles through hardware-software co-optimization on Qualcomm platforms.

AIBOX-Q1 features plug-and-play deployment, flexible configuration, and full-stack integration, enabling seamless computing power expansion without requiring changes to existing vehicle E/E architectures. The system incorporates a dual-mode thermal design to meet stringent automotive-grade requirements.

Pre-integrated with an optimized version of AquaDrive AIOS, AIBOX-Q1 supports efficient execution of foundation models ranging from 1B to 7B parameters. It enables cross-domain data flow, cockpit-driving convergence scenarios, and multi-agent collaboration, delivering intelligent compute scheduling and millisecond-level multimodal response.

Breakthrough Innovation: 30B MoE Model Achieves On-Device Inference

A key highlight at the event was ThunderSoft’s breakthrough in edge AI: the successful deployment of a 30B MoE large model for efficient on-device inference on the Snapdragon 8397 platform.

Through advanced optimization of NPU resource allocation and dynamic expert activation, the solution significantly reduces memory footprint and power consumption while maintaining high responsiveness. It supports complex reasoning, multi-agent orchestration, and advanced task execution—even in offline scenarios—marking a major step toward large-scale adoption of in-vehicle AI models.
