November 18, 2024 — ThunderSoft, a world-leading OS and intelligent device products and technology provider, announced its collaboration with Arm, the highest-performing and most power-efficient compute platform company, to establish mainland China's first Arm® SystemReady™ Devicetree (previously known as IR) Compliance Lab.
This new lab combines ThunderSoft's comprehensive expertise in operating systems and engineering, with Arm's globally recognized SystemReady program. It will provide end-to-end testing and technical support for chipset vendors, OEMs, ODMs, and system integrators, promoting standardized boot firmware for intelligent devices and accelerating the era of interconnected intelligence.
Fueled by the rapid advancements in 5G, AI, and other cutting-edge technologies, the IoT industry is continuously innovating, extending its applications into diverse sectors like automotive, healthcare, industrial, smart cities, and home automation, setting the stage for a new surge of growth in the AIoT market. Since its launch, Arm SystemReady has been a hugely successful scheme for measuring compliance to system standards. It’s been a key scheme for actively facilitating the development of the IoT ecosystem through standardization, and the compliance program, built in partnership with ThunderSoft, will continue to drive this forward. ThunderSoft, leveraging its profound software capabilities in the field of intelligent technology and in conjunction with the Arm SystemReady Devicetree compliance platform, has established the first Arm SystemReady Devicetree related lab in mainland China, which is the fourth globally. This new lab will provide critical support to developers using Arm-based processors, enabling chip manufacturers, OEMs and ODMs to develop devices that are standardized and interoperable, thus can be seamlessly integrated into the global IoT ecosystem.
Vice president of ThunderSoft Jerry Yang commented, “ThunderSoft is dedicated to the development and innovation of smart operating systems and intelligent edge technology. We see immense potential in the intelligent IoT industry and recognize the importance of device standardization in driving industry growth. We are excited to collaborate with Arm to build the SystemReady Devicetree Compliance Lab, which will help chipset manufacturers, OEMs, and others efficiently develop standardized, interoperable devices and drive the flourishing of the IoT industry.”
“As AI accelerates from cloud to edge, there is an increasing need for scalable, flexible and efficient devices, meaning standardization and OS interoperability are crucial if we are to see rapid, streamlined and modern software deployment,” said Chloe Ma, VP China GTM, IoT Line of Business at Arm. “Arm SystemReady helps the industry to standardize where it matters and the new ThunderSoft lab will support the industry to address fragmentation, fueling future growth for the AIoT market.”
